he's probably talking about right wing libertarian "anarcho-capitalists", or "market anarchists", which , many on the left of libertarianism deny are even truly anarchist. Their counterparts on the right of the movement often assert the same thing about them, of course, since thats how political groups are. The big difference is various opinions on the definition of property and it's legitimacy and/or conditions.

There seems to be a very popular tendency in our society of responding to stressful situations or anything annoying involving another person by immediately rushing to our phones to call the police. What's wrong with trying to rationally talk about it first? Or even thinking for a second to consider if this is really such a fucked up thing that's happening that

the government needs to come and enforce what we are sure is not only our Will but the law. Even in situations where it might or might not be warranted, whats wrong with giving "might not" the benefit of the doubt? On the opposite extreme is people who want to talk about, or much worse, actually pull out a gun. Although, if you think about it, this is essentially the same or very similar in that in one situation we are going to force whoever to stop whatever it is ourselves, or we're calling someone to do it for us. Of course , a cop is presumably a rational unpissed off person controlling the gun and not our crazy asses. This isn't always the case, but whatever. Although neither are desirable, calling the cops is usually going to be preferable to pulling out a gun. In practice of course the bustin' of gats often leads to cops showing up eventually anyway, even if it is down the road a while after a bunch of people have gotten shot and/or their asses kicked.

On another level, those who want to pass a law before trying anything else every time they perceive something as a social ill are doing basically the same thing as calling the cops or pulling a gun. Also people who want to send in the military whenever something seems to be going wrong in another country would also fall into this asshole force initiating category. Quit that shit! I once heard a man wiser than I say "If you have a problem and call the cops, you'll soon find yourself with a problem and some cops"

Robert Anton Wilson talking about one wild night with Timothy Leary. It's very strange that Leary's books don't sell well, but he does well on the lecture circuit. We've done a double act together: the Laurel and Hardy of the futurist intelligensia - or the space cadets - if you like. Leary's books on psychology and cosmology are very far out; generally they are regarded as proof that his brain is blown by all the drugs he's done. A few people I know understand them - we think they're brilliant, but maybe our brains have been blown by those drugs too. He's also writing very successful computer programs. For someone who's supposed to be brain damaged by drugs, he's pretty good at designing software.
