Brundage Mountain Jam 2

in

This is the first festy like this i've been to in the northwest trying to promote this stuff. This is Brundage Mountain Jam's second year. It was supposed to be in the 5,000 person range but due to unfortunate timing, the festival was held on the same weekend as 2 other Jam festivals in the same state, Idaho (yes they have more than cowboys and Mormons there). empty parking lotas a result attendance was more than a little disappointing.

Camp Barefoot 2

Small Festival Scene

This was most of the camping.

This festy was very small but totally, I mean TOTALLY chill. the venue is at the cove camp ground in Virginia near Winchester and very near the west Virginia state line. The camp ground in general (the actual venue was known as camp 6)is very large with a lake which has swimming. This was a great way to beat the heat that is the only thing about these summer festivals. The staff was very friendly and didn't seem to mind much except for nitrous tanks. I even heard a story of one guy who was caught trying to sneak in and was given a wristband anyway. I'm not suggesting anyone try this but how's that for being cool and understanding? Due to the size it was hard to make money on beer and stuff like that but well worth it anyway. Also the rain didn't help.

What to do if there are cameras

in

This actually might be fun

If, god forbid, there are going to be hidden cameras at All Good this year, and you stumble across one let's do some stuff along these lines: the Surveillance Camera Players. First of course we'll need to organize some kind of easter egg hunt type thing to find more of them so that we can truly deliver a total experience to our viewers once the show starts. I'm thinking impromptu comedy but maybe an episode of 24 would be better. One of my friends here just suggested something like girls gone wild might be more appropriate, since there has been that tittie contest thing at All Good in the past, and the voyeuristic nature of hidden cameras in the first place.

bisco

in

I went to bisco 3 (was it 4?) years ago and they were actually being really hardcore about the glass bottle thing and the vending thing to the point where people were walking around whispering "beer" like it was acid or something and then they would take you back between some tents where there would be someone with a cooler in complete darkness selling the beer with lookouts like it was a tank. It was crazy. I know its alot bigger now and at a different place, does anyone know how it is on that kind of thing now?

waka away from wakarusa

in

What do you think about paying to vend on shakedown??? For the past three years wakarusa has been a relaxed venue the type of place where security asks for you to not advertise sales and looks away. Last year someone died probably dope...sorry but things are now different. Shakedown has been pushed far away from the venue and instead of paying to vend in the venue as with previous years...you pay three hundred to set your ezup on shakedown and it is inforced by an on the spot three hundred dollar ticket....oh and dont forget about cops combing campsites making arrests. Definately the begining of the end for a previously preferred festival.

Smilefest

in

Smilefest has been notoriuos for shitloads of undercover cops doing crazy shit to bust 20 year old girls (and everyone else) with a little bit of weed. I swore off ever going back a couple of years ago, but this year they are changing venues. Will it be any better?
