bisco

I went to bisco 3 (was it 4?) years ago and they were actually being really hardcore about the glass bottle thing and the vending thing to the point where people were walking around whispering "beer" like it was acid or something and then they would take you back between some tents where there would be someone with a cooler in complete darkness selling the beer with lookouts like it was a tank. It was crazy. I know its alot bigger now and at a different place, does anyone know how it is on that kind of thing now?

Bisco 06

I went this year and it was definitely different than the last one I went to and that was in 02. In the camp grounds you were allowed to do whatever basically. But getting into the music was something totally different. They had actualy cops searching you (and they had like 8 at a time too) and they were writing tickets. They were searching worse than any other show I've been too. I luckily met up with some friends out there that let me set up at there vending spot. The weather was that misty end of summer northeastern kind of weather. Otherwise the music was awesome. I saw Shpongle for the first time. That was fun. And Theivery Corporation was excellent. I just hope that I never see that type of searching again (haha yeah right).

I heard the security guards

I heard the security guards actually shut down a drum circle at one point. Something about a documentary being filmed, I'm not really sure.

HA! It was the skeeze entertainment people!!

Okay. So there was a documentary going on there. These people were with Skeeze Entertainment and they were doing a documentary on what women wanted out of sex and their time. That is actually all I know about it. I had a friend come there with them and he said he wanted to get me an interview, but I never saw him nor did I really care to do that. But that is what he told me about it. It was funny, a lot of people who walked by "swore there was a porno going on in there". It was funny. Ha.

wierd... Justin somehow

wierd... Justin somehow thought it was a documentary on vendors, which didn't make sence because nobody really vends there. Wonder why they decided to film it at bisco?

here's what justin says:

Justin goes every year and heres what he says: "NO BODY REALLY WORKS CAMP BISCO....most of the kids go to have fun and thats it. For bisco kids this is their mecca obviously, and would rather spend the extra dough before hand and style/pimp themselves out. This year will be tougher to work beer/cigs etc, because over half of the people that are going are staying within walking distance in condo's at the ski resort...so they will be rollin deep with liquor, kegs etc, and can walk back to their place in between sets and drink. But there will still be 3,000-4,000 staying in the campground.

They sequrity was not bad last year, but getting 10- 12 packs of beer in might be rough.....but it usually always works.

Just a note bisco kids are weird and are really anti-lot...anything to do with "lot" they are anti...ie most forms of working. Not that you can't sell shirts, and people will be really happy to buy a beer from you, because NO ONE else will be selling. There probably won't be much of a "shakedown" especially an illigitamite one. You might just have to be a little more low pro. Remeber its at a ski resort.

Everything should be close. Parking to campsite close, campsite to stage/venue close. Remember, there is only going to be say 7,000 people tops...so it will be relatively small...who knows it could blow up and hit 10,000...but its doubtful."
